Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Gig Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) works in accordance with professional standards of care and adheres to the corporate philosophy of OSF HealthCare. The Gig APN shall be responsible for providing high quality patient care to the patients of OSF OnCall Urgent Care. As a Gig APN, they control their own flexibility of preferred shifts/locations and create a schedule that work for them, on their time. There is no minimum number of hours needed to work but it is limited to less than 30 hours per week. They are responsible for maintaining the consistency and quality of all services provided, and maintaining full and current patient medical records, including reports of all examinations, procedures, and other services performed by the provider or other support staff. Also, exercising diligence in assisting the OSF CEO in keeping costs of the practice to a minimum, while maintaining a high level of quality care for patients and providing a truly personalized, patient-centric experience to all patients of OSF OnCall Urgent Care.

 

Expected pay for this position is $60.39 - $68.10/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

 

 


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed to provide either advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act OR physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987.
  • Nurse Practitioners must hold a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification from the National Certification Corporation
  • Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
  • BLS/ACLS Certified.
  • Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
  • Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care aligned to the preferences, goals, and needs of the patients served. Prior experience or fellowship as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant in an urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care setting is preferred but new graduates will be considered.
