American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with interventional cardiac cath lab experience for a Level I trauma Magnet hospital requiring an active IL license Job details: - Work in a 5-room Cath Lab unit with an average daily census of 25 - Day shift schedule (4x12 or 3x12 hours, 0630-1900) - Will work 2-3 weekends per contract - On-call required as needed - Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities - Cerner EMR used, experience required Requirements: - Active IL RN license in hand required at time of application - Minimum 1 year of experience required - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross accepted, RQI cards not accepted) - Interventional cardiac cath lab experience required - Experience with Circulate Procedures, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), Left Heart Catheterization, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz Monitoring, and Right Heart Catheterization required - Experience with Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring required - Skilled in Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias and Monitoring Procedural Sedation - Cerner charting experience required - Teaching hospital experience preferred Additional information: - Acute Care Hospital with Level I trauma designation and Magnet recognition, 562 staffed beds - Scrubs provided - Parking permit required at no cost, completed during orientation - Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays - RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days - Local candidates accepted - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler - Travel pairs are not accepted
