If you are a team player and eager to learn and grow your more critical nursing skills, this PACU unit has availability for nurses. We recover patients from a variety of procedure and surgical areas post-anesthesia. We are open Monday – Friday some on-call on the weekends and weeknights that is rotating with all staff.

Shift: Days - 4-10 hr shifts 10a-8:30p. Call on nights, weekends, and holidays.

PACU-post surgical patients - General, ENT, Urology, Plastics, Ortho, Thoracic, GYN, Transplant, IR, GI, and ERCP
outpatient post-surgical patients

Registered Nurse Perianesthesia

Job Summary The Perianesthesia Nurse is a registered nurse responsible for the care of patients being prepared to undergo, or recovering from, anesthesia. Provide post-procedure discharge instructions to the patient and authorized patient representative that include physical, psychological, social, safety and educational and needs of the patient. Provide orientation and training of new employees as assigned. Function as testing personnel under CLIA1988 regulations as they relate to point of care testing as required. Assist with the financial management of the designated area(s) by monitoring supply usage and waste. Other duties as assigned. Registered Nurse Medical Surgical Telemetry

Job Summary Medical/Surgical/Telemetry nursing is the core of adult inpatient nursing care and this group of nurses is multi-talented. The Registered Nurse in the Medical and Post-Surgical Units at Riverview Health provides direct nursing care to patients with acute or service specialty diagnoses such as Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Urology, Renal, Pulmonary, Infectious Disease, inpatient Hospice care. Nurses on this unit may also be assigned post-operative surgical orthopedic, abdominal, general surgery, ENT, and gynecology patients. A hospitalist team is available 24/7 to answer questions, teach and support the nursing team. Medical and Surgical Nurse Navigators act as liaison with providers, in a team-oriented, patient-focused environment. Job Responsibilities Creates, and implements, a written plan of care that addresses the specific needs and goals of each individual patient, making referrals to other professional services as required. Modifies the plan of care based on reassessment of the patient including observed patient response to treatment/care and evaluation of patient's progress toward goal completion and delegates tasks to team members, as appropriate within their scope of practice. Observes, documents, addresses, and implements planned interventions/care, communicating the plan to all members of the team through accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record and, when needed, through verbal reports.
