American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of CVOR experience and call coverage. Job details: - Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of an academic medical center - 4x10 day shift schedule, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM - Call required, approximately 14 per month, shared among CV staff and including weekend call - Floating required to Vascular and General OR - Patient ratio of 1:3 - Uses Epic charting system Requirements: - Active RN license (MO state or compact) - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required - CNOR and TNCC certifications preferred - Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience required - Epic charting experience required - Trauma Level I or II experience preferred - Teaching hospital experience preferred - Previous charge experience preferred - Vascular surgery skills preferred, including AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, and EVAR - Cardiovascular surgery skills including CABG, IABP, and femoral cannulation - Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional information: - Provide perioperative nursing care in a 356-bed academic and research medical center - Assist in a wide range of surgical procedures including CVOR, vascular, general, thoracic, and trauma cases - Support emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia procedures - Work within a research and academic hospital setting affiliated with a university school of medicine - Candidates residing within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and not accepted for this position - First-time travelers are welcome to apply as long as they meet the required CVOR experience
