American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN with advanced fetal monitoring experience and CMQCC Category II knowledge for a night shift assignment requiring a California RN license. Job details: - Labor and Delivery unit with 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU & Post-Partum areas - 24 OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage supporting low and high risk L&D patients - Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults - Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:30 - 4 weekend shifts per month required (Friday or Saturday) - Mandatory on-call required twice per month in addition to scheduled shifts - May be placed on call if not needed for a scheduled shift - Floating to Perinatal required as needed - Uses Epic and eMD Allscripts charting systems - Uses SBAR communication and Omnicell systems Requirements: - Active California RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum 2.5 years of Labor & Delivery experience required - Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced - Epic experience required - Recent experience performing sterile vaginal exams and managing high-risk patients required - Knowledge of the CMQCC Category II algorithm required - Advanced fetal monitoring experience required - Experience with external fetal monitoring and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns required - Experience circulating for C-sections required - References required for consideration Additional information: - Provide nursing care across triage, LDR, OR, and post-partum areas for low and high risk obstetric patients - Collaborate with OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia teams - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Return staff reviewed on a case-by-case basis - Local candidates accepted at the travel rate - RTO requests must be submitted with the initial application and cannot exceed 3 days - No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment - One holiday RTO request may be submitted but is not guaranteed approval - Must work most holidays - Facility is smoke and nicotine-free; candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor

Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
