American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring 3+ years of experience and EPIC proficiency. Job details: - Labor and Delivery unit featuring 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU and Post-Partum areas - Supports low and high risk L&D with 24/7 OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage - Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults - Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) - 4 weekend shifts per month required (Friday or Saturday nights) - Mandatory on-call required twice per month in addition to scheduled shifts - May be placed on call if not needed for a scheduled shift - Floating to Perinatal required as needed - EPIC experience required Requirements: - Active CA RN license required - Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced - Minimum 3 years of recent L&D experience required - Proficiency with external fetal monitoring and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns - Experience circulating for C-sections required - Experience with Allscripts charting system preferred - References required for consideration - Advanced EKG exam required prior to start (80% minimum passing score, two attempts permitted) Additional information: - Utilizes unit systems including SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Local candidates accepted at the travel rate - Return staff reviewed on a case-by-case basis - No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment - Maximum of 3 days RTO allowed for the full 13-week contract - One holiday RTO request may be submitted but is not guaranteed approval - Must work most holidays - All RTO requests must be submitted with the initial application and cannot be changed except to cancel - Facility is smoke/nicotine-free and candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor - Required modules and training must be completed prior to start

Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU.
