Step into a vital role supporting a high school student as a part-time Registered Nurse, making a meaningful difference every day. Work onsite two days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7am2:30pm) in a welcoming educational environment near Naperville, IL. This extended contract position offers consistent hours spanning the academic years from August 2026 to June 2027.

Youll provide dedicated 1:1 care to a male high school student who is a quadriplegic and requires advanced support, including ventilator and tracheostomy care, as well as management of a sip/puff wheelchair and urinary catheterization. Your expertise will help the student participate as fully as possible in school life, partnering with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver compassionate, skilled nursing care.

Ideal candidates bring:

Active Registered Nurse license in Illinois
Prior experience working as a nurse in a school setting
Proficiency caring for patients with tracheostomy, ventilator, and catheterization needs
Ability and physical readiness to assist with transfers or lifting, as necessary
Experience in critical care (preferred)
Commitment to supporting students with complex medical needs in an educational setting

Your responsibilities will include:

Administering daily nursing care for the assigned student
Monitoring and responding to ventilator and trach requirements
