Key Qualifications:

• Active New Jersey School Nursing licensure is required.
• Prior experience in a school-based RN or school nursing setting is essential.
• Solid understanding of immunization protocols and general student health requirements.
• Ability to oversee and support health needs across multiple school buildings.
• Confidence in managing a varied caseload, including clinical assessments and documentation.
• Comfortable navigating district policies and working independently in educational environments.
• Reliable transportation is necessary for travel between buildings.
• Commitment to required onboarding processes: TB test, physical exam, fingerprints for both agency and district compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional nursing services to students, focusing on preventive care, chronic health management, and acute needs.
• Maintain and update health records, particularly related to immunizations and medical plans.
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student wellness and safety.
• Promote a healthy school environment through education, advocacy, and adherence to health standards.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and facilitate communication with community healthcare providers as needed.
• Support and supervise school health personnel where applicable.
