American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) Telemetry position requiring WI or compact RN license, ACLS/BLS, and MS/Tele experience. Job details: - Work in the Intermediate Care (IMC) unit of a hospital setting - Medical-Surgical/Telemetry patient population including cardiovascular and post cardiac angiogram cases - Night shift, 4x12 hours, 1900-0730 - Every other weekend and some holidays required - Floating required as needed - Epic EMR experience required, within the past 12 months preferred Requirements: - Active WI or compact RN license required - Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA only) - Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty being submitted for - Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred - Epic charting system experience required - Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial line and central line management, blood product administration, and PICC line care - Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and ABG interpretation - Experience managing vasoactive and heparin drips, PCA, and IV insulin protocols - Skilled in interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring - Experience with rapid response/code teams, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions - Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with strict scoring criteria for adult and pediatric rhythm interpretation - References not required for consideration Additional information: - Provide direct patient care in a Magnet-designated, Level I/II trauma teaching hospital - Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted - Pass/fail telemetry testing required, allowing up to two attempts with a cardiac interpretation review course required before a third attempt if needed - Parking permit required if parking onsite, with alternative transportation options available
