American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN to independently scrub and circulate cardiac surgeries at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of specialty experience and a CT or compact RN license. Job details: - Work in the CVOR unit of a Level I Trauma Center, Academic Medical Center - Schedule consists of 2x12 hour and 2x8 hour shifts per week, either 7a-3:30p or 10:45a-7:15p - Average patient ratio of 1:2 - Floating required within scope to meet facility needs - On-call requirement of two 24-hour calls per schedule - Additional on-call requirement of 2 calls per Monday-Friday week (7p-11p or 7p-7a), with 1 day per week availability to stay late - Charting completed in Epic Requirements: - Active RN license (CT or Compact) required prior to start date - Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred - Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required - Must be able to independently scrub and circulate cardiac surgery - Experience with cardiovascular procedures required, including CABG, aortic aneurysm repair, mitral valve replacement, IABP, and femoral cannulation - Preferred experience with atherectomy, cardiomyoplasty, MAZE procedure, TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, laparoscopic cardiac surgery, and PDA - Preferred thoracic surgery experience including lobe resection, mediastinoscopy, thoracotomy, and VATS - Level I Trauma Center experience at a large facility required - One professional reference required for consideration Additional information: - Scrubs provided - Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted - COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only - First-time travelers accepted - Previous perm staff must be separated from the facility for 2 years to be considered as a traveler - RTO requests greater than 7 days require additional approval - Local candidates not accepted if residing within 75 miles of the facility - Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
