A Typical Day for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):

Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) for overall nursing leadership within our 54-bed Health Center.
Evaluate the quality of resident care, monitor compliance with current laws, process improvements and assist in implementing best practices.
Orienting, training and supervision of team members.
Assist in resident evaluations, and serve as a liaison for team member shift transitions.
Work with Director of Nursing and other leadership team members on quality assurance performance monitoring.
Participate in surveys and inspections by various government agencies and more!

Qualifications:

Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Iowa, graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Minimum 3–5 years of nursing experience, preferably in a geriatric or long-term care setting.
Knowledgeable of state and federal regulations, quality assurance, compliance, and clinical practices.
