RCHSD Chadwick Center is a fully accredited hospital-based children's advocacy center (CAC), a child-friendly place that provides family-focused and trauma-informed services to help children and families heal from abuse and other trauma. Within the Chadwick Center, the Child Abuse Pediatrics department conducts child abuse medical examinations when there is concern about child abuse, including sexual and physical abuse examinations. Our multidisciplinary team (MDT), also known as the Child Protection Team (CPT), includes caring and trained professionals from law enforcement, child protection, prosecution, mental health, medical, family advocacy and other CAC staff and community partners. Assist in preparing for in-office procedures such as biopsies and Ultrasounds by setting up necessary equipment. Download blood sugar data from CGMs and blood glucose meters. Manage the scheduling of patient appointments, coordinating with both patients and providers to optimize clinic flow. Assist with managing clinic flow, scheduling patient follow-up appointments, communicating referral information, and discharge instructions. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients, working closely with experienced professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes. Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practice including: Assisting in preparing patients for examination/procedures Assisting physicians with procedures Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person Collecting patient data in person and by phone Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review Administering medications specifically directed by the physician Performing vital sign documentation Scheduling of appointments and procedures Complete and accurate message taking Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction Order and referral entry Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics.
