Performs patient care interventions as delegated and within scope of practice and validated competency, including but not limited to: Phlebotomy, EKG’s, specimen collection, blood glucose measurement and telemetry. Others patient care needs, including but not limited to: Prepare patient rooms for admissions, discharges. Update whiteboards. Provide unit / room stocking of supplies. Care of a patient with invasive lines and devices within NA scope of practice. Transporting patients on/off unit. Responding to emergency situation. Communication with patient care team to ensure delivery of quality care.
