Licensure/Certification Required Current PA license as registered nurse. Current, valid certificate from the counsel on re-certification of Nurse Anesthetists. BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required. GRNA candidates for this certification must meet the following criteria: A Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Professional Nurse who is eligible to sit for an upcoming Nurse Anesthesia Certification Examination. This person will not be permitted to cover 24 – hour in – house call. The GRNA will work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Anesthesiologist. This position will be afforded to a new employee for one certification cycle only. At that time the employee must successfully pass the certification exam to meet the requirement.
