Obtain medications, supplies and medical records needed to provide safe, efficient, and therapeutic are to residents on a continuing basis. Assist in the orientation of new personnel, monitoring their skills and guides and observe care team members that may need assistance with procedures. Qualifications: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Licensed as an RN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing. Valid CPR teaching certificate preferred, but not required. Must hold an active CPR license or the ability to obtain within the first 30-days of employment. CPR license must be kept active and current throughout employment. Three years of nursing experience, of which one year in a long-term care environment. Surgical Technologists, sometimes called “scrub techs”, assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses and ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and maintaining a sterile field. Surgical Technologists perform a variety of functions, such as checking supplies and equipment, setting up sterile tables, performing appropriate counts, draping the sterile field, passing instruments to the surgeon and assistant during the procedure, prepare sterile dressing and clean instruments for terminal sterilization. A caregiver in this position works days and on-call from 7:00 a.m. -- 3:30 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. -- 8:30 p.m. Orientation will take place for three to six months from 7:00 a.m. -- 3:30 p.m. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Set up the sterile table and ensure appropriate supplies, drugs and equipment are available. Assist RN in counting all sponges, instruments, etc. at appropriate times during surgery. Assist in gowning and gloving surgical team members and draping patients. Provides education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process. Provides thorough, concise, accurate and legible documentation of the nursing process. Works closely with physicians and other team members addressing patient/family concerns to ensure a smooth transition of care. Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate safe manner. Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with FMC policies and procedures. Ensures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to proper department. Job Qualifications: Completion of an accredited nursing program, resulting in one of the following: Diploma in Nursing Associate's Degree in Nursing Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio. CPR required. Previous nursing experience preferred. Must be able to physically exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
