We see approximately 44,500 patients annually who vary from locals to tourists from around the world. Our ED department is equipped with 30 ER beds as well as an 8-bed observation center and 2 triage rooms. The ER staff is made up of RNs, ER Techs, and HUCs that work together to provide excellent patient care. Position Summary: The LPN/LVN will provide nursing care under supervision of a registered nurse, within an assigned unit. Responsibilities Initiates admission database and history, and in collaboration with the RN implements patient and family teaching and care needs. Practices in compliance with all regulatory standards and adheres to all hospital policy and procedures in the performance of duties. Performs and prioritizes nursing care tasks. Accurately follows the nursing plan of care and pertinent medical orders in collaboration and under direction of a RN. Observes and reports nursing interventions and patient responses, and documents in a timely, concise and legible manner. Recognizes, responds, and reports changes in patient conditions to RN Team Leader. Participates in unit specific quality assurance activities and patient care conferences as requested. Demonstrates principles of infection control; collaborates with infection control nurse to ensure safety of patients, visitors, and personnel. Assists in orienting new employees or students to unit routines. Administers IV venipuncture and parenteral fluids per established hospital protocol. Performs specific advanced patient care treatments as approved to perform per hospital protocol. Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Education : None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority. Minimum Experience: No prior experience as a LPN/LVN needed. License Requirement: Currently licensed by the Tennessee Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN).

Overview Pediatrix Neonatology of Houston, an affiliate of Pediatrix Medical Group, is seeking an outstanding Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our growing practice Responsibilities Join the premier neonatal practice in Houston, Texas! Pediatrix Neonatology of Houston, an affiliate of Pediatrix Medical Group, seeks outstanding NNPs to join our growing practice. Our established neonatal practice includes over 50 neonatologists and over 100 APRNs and serves 15 hospitals across four leading hospital systems throughout Houston and the surrounding area. We welcome new graduates and provide a comprehensive new graduate orientation program. NNPs in our practice typically provide 24-hour in-house coverage. However, some of our sites offer 12-72 hour shifts to support work-life balance. Overview Excellent opportunity for an experienced neonatal nurse practitioner Responsibilities Excellent opportunity for an experienced neonatal nurse practitioner to join our dedicated group of eight neonatologists and team of NNPs providing high-quality care at the Carilion Clinic Children’s Hospital (CCCH) in scenic Roanoke, Virginia. **New graduates will be considered, only if willing to relocate.** The hospital is a designated regional perinatal center with 4,800 deliveries annually. Our 60-bed Level-IIIB NICU has 700 admissions annually and an average daily census of 47 babies. Services provided include high frequency ventilation and nitric oxide. There are two maternal-fetal medicine specialists on staff and the hospital offers a full range of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties. As one of our NNPs, you will provide in-house coverage caring for critically ill neonates and attend high-risk deliveries. NNP's take ownership of their own team of patients (up to 20) with all acuity levels. The shifts are 24 hours with an occasional 12-hour shift available.
