With around-the-clock expertise for critical health issues, including experts in trauma, heart care, burns, significant wounds, stroke, brain surgery and more, Legacy Emanuel is central to the health of our community and critical to the care of the Northwest. Emanuel Medical Center is a Level 1 Trauma Center, Regional Burn Center and serves the needs of both adult hospital population as well as Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel. Currently there are 19 ORs/procedure suites, performing an average of 50 cases/day for both Adult and Pediatric specialties including, cardiovascular, thoracic, neurosurgery, urology, orthopedic, ENT, Burns, OMFS, Plastics, Gynaecology and robotics. In July 2018, construction commenced on the new Emanuel West tower which includes brand new operating rooms, PACU, Central Sterile and other support areas. Responsibilities Provides patient care within an assigned department/unit Functions as a member of the health care team in collaboration with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee Adheres to the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse Performs all aspects of the nursing process: Assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care Follows established patient care standards set by Legacy Health System, including standards for patient assessment & patient transfer. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO. Experience: One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration. Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized. Two years of OR RN experience required; ability to scrub preferred. Must be available to meet the 30-minute call time. Call schedule will be every 5th weekend 7AM Sat - 7 AM Monday 3 week nights every 6 weeks 11PM - 7AM Skills: Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community. Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions. Licensure Current applicable state RN license required. Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Nurse Anesthetist (Certified Registered) position is to administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in four general categories: (1) pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation; (2) anesthesia induction, maintenance and emergence; (3) post-anesthesia care; and (4) perianesthetic and clinical support functions. Additional Details As a Travel Nurse you'll visit various Wellpath sites across California such as Shasta, Placer, San Luis Obispo, and Fresno. Shifts vary by location, but most shifts are 12-hour days or nights, with some 8-hour options and weekend rotations depending on the site. Candidates must hold an active California nursing license in good standing and have at least three years of nursing experience and 1 year of correctional experience. LVN's range from $40-45 per hour all travel and incidentals are covered or reimbursed. How you make a difference As a Registered Nurse (RN), your primary responsibility is to provide patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s) to provide patient education and activities in accordance with your competencies and education. This role requires excellent communication and critical thinking skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs, consulting with Charge Nurse(s) and other staff as necessary. Implement medical plans by administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, and assisting with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed. Count controlled substances and implement clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Document nursing encounters using the SOAP form of charting as required by policy and attend mandatory staff meetings and training. Communicate information to nursing staff, physician, health care unit supervisory personnel or other staff as necessary. Qualifications & Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Experience Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience Licenses/Certifications Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
