In the absence of superiors, the RN Registered Nurse Shift Supervisor assumes total responsibility for operating decisions required by the circumstances of the moment. Takes responsibility for management of emergency situations as the need develops. Ensures presence of appropriate relief staff to assume responsibility prior to leaving the facility. Ensures notification of resident’s personal physician if there is a significant change in the condition of the resident or if the resident requires immediate medical care. Required Qualifications Must hold a current state RN license and be a nurse in good standing. Must meet all applicable federal and state licensure requirements.
