Nurse Practitioner (APRN) Education and Experience Requirements: If licensed after 1999 must have Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required. American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health-NP Required Must have a nationally recognized certification to practice. Current Federal DEA and State Controlled Substance License required. Current Connecticut State RN/APRN Licensure. 2-3 years experience in clinical setting providing direct patient care required.
