Lutheran SeniorLife provides a comprehensive array of community-based health and social service programs throughout western Pennsylvania. LIFE is a program that serves county residents living in Armstrong, Butler, Beaver and Lawrence Counties. It is an all-inclusive comprehensive program that helps individuals maintain their independence in their home and community through supportive services. The LIFE programs offer an array of person-centered services from medical care to adult day supports with the primary goal of allowing individuals to remain in their own home. The Caregiver is responsible for assisting participants with all aspects of personal care activities and implementing strategies for promoting increased levels of self-care when possible. Responsible for assisting participants with Instrumental activities of daily living and implementing strategies for promoting increased levels of independence when possible. Responsible to reinforce and comply with all rehab initiatives and clinical modalities. Qualifications Caregiver qualifications include: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have 1 year of geriatric related experience. Must have dependable transportation with a valid driver’s license in order to visit clients in their homes and other sites. Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel required.
