The Certified Nursing Assistant performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse. More specifically, the incumbent assists patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, and eating, and collects noninvasive body fluid specimens or gathers vital signs. Additionally, this employee aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures and documents patient interactions. Administers enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, therapeutic and sitz baths, and applies restraints. Position Summary The Medication Technician (Med Tech) is responsible for safely assisting residents with the self-administration of medications in accordance with state regulations and facility policies. Assist with scheduling and tracking physician orders, medication refills, and pharmacy communications. Qualifications Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Completion of state-approved Medication Technician/Medication Aide training program. Licenses/Certifications: Current Med Tech/Medication Aide certification as required by state regulations. CNA certification CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or ability to obtain). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Understanding of medication administration principles, including dosage, side effects, and safety precautions. Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
