Provides clinical instruction to Physician Associate students and residents , Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic Students. APP residents in collaboration with physicians, take medical histories, perform physical examinations, and perform specified procedures. The NP resident will work in the Emergency Department, at the York Street , Chapel Street and Shoreline Medical Center Campuses. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program by May 2025 for the 2025 residency class. APRNs must have certification as Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. And, must have a current APRN license at start of program. Or graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program by May 2025 for the 2025 residency class. PAs must have taken and passed thier PANCE by the start of the program. Both new graduates and experienced providers are encouraged to apply. Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills are required. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality care appropriate to the Emergency Department. Emergency Medicine requires procedural as well as assessment skills. The range and scope of emergency medicine is quite broad and requires expertise in many areas of medicine. Additional criteria may be specified by the residency program.
