Trauma and Emergency General Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Position Overview: The Trauma and Emergency General Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers direct patient care consistent with the APP’s education, experience, and certification, in collaboration with the attending Trauma and Emergency General Surgery physicians. A Brief Overview The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. This role includes but not limited to rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in the electronic medical record, assisting with procedures, supporting providers, and promoting efficient patient flow while delivering patient-centered care. What You Will Do Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow. Responsible for all front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation. Performs patient centered care delegated by Provider Provides a safe environment for patients Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards.
