Advanced Practice Nurse (Per Diem)

Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse in the Crisis Receiving Stabilization Center (CRSC) of Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care. The primary purpose of the Advanced Practice Nurse position is to serve as an expert in the advanced nursing care. The APN functions collaboratively with physician of protocol for prescriptive practice and works collaboratively within the treatment team to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and assessment services. The APN demonstrates competency according to the American Nurses Association Advanced Practice Standards and credentialing body. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Demonstrates a commitment to maintain the standard of clinical practice adapted by the American Nurses Association and ensures that nursing care meets the standards of practice for specialty credentialling certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or American Nurses Credentialing Center. Engages in collaborative practice with the physician of protocol for prescriptive practice. Follows protocols for prescriptive practice. Coordinates treatment with members of the treatment team.
