Position Summary UNC Health Cancer Care - Cary is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our multidisciplinary Hematology & Oncology team. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a collaborative, patient-centered environment, working closely with medical oncologists, hematologists, nurse care managers, infusion services, and other oncology support staff. The APP will function as a key member of the oncology care team, providing comprehensive outpatient care for hematology and oncology patients within a team-based care model. The ideal candidate will bring prior clinical experience as an APP and an interest in building long-term relationships with oncology and hematology patients within a supportive community cancer center. Responsibilities Evaluate and manage outpatient hematology and oncology patients in a clinic setting. Conduct follow-up visits and ongoing disease management for patients receiving cancer treatment. Perform pre-infusion evaluations to assess patient readiness for chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments. Manage patients with benign hematology conditions, including simple anemia and iron deficiency anemia. Review laboratory results, imaging, treatment plans, and clinical status to support continuity of care. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse care managers, infusion staff, and other members of the oncology team. Respond to patient messages, electronic communications, and care coordination needs through Epic In Basket and other communication tools. Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, symptom management, and supportive care. Participate in limited inpatient consultation support, including patient assessments, documentation, and collaboration with the attending hematologist/oncologist. Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation in the electronic medical record. Contribute to quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and professional development initiatives. Nursing Assistant I - Rex Post Anesthesia Care West

The UNC REX Post Anesthesia Care Unit is divided into two units: PACU East has 22 PACU bays and 8 OR Holding & Preoperative bays and PACU West with 13 Phase I bays and 20 Phase II bays. In PACU cases include orthopedics, neuro, thoracic, general, bariatrics, plastic, urology and endoscopy. In addition to routine surgical anesthesia recovery on adult and pediatric populations, the PACU provides services for the recovery of medical diagnostic procedures. Our PACU’s are true multidisciplinary units, where specialties of anesthesiology, surgery, and critical care can intersect and confer about complex perioperative clinical issues in surgical patients.
