Inpatient Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) - General Internal Medicine The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is a leading institution focused on cancer care, research, education, and prevention. The Department of General Internal Medicine (GIM), Section of Consultative Medicine, provides comprehensive inpatient and consultative care for patients across the care continuum while supporting the management of chronic and acute medical conditions through a multidisciplinary approach. The Advanced Practice Provider plays an important role in delivering high-quality care and supporting the inpatient consult service. The Advanced Practice Provider works closely with faculty physicians to manage complex medical needs, coordinate care, and support patients throughout hospitalization and treatment. The Advanced Practice Provider contributes to patient education, clinical collaboration, and continuity of care while helping ensure consistent seven-day coverage across the service. The ideal candidate is an experienced Advanced Practice Provider with at least three years of APP experience and a strong foundation in Internal Medicine.
