We are pleased to announce the following available position: ECT Registered Nurse (RN) PRN with Hours Available: M onday, Wednesday and Friday 6:00a - 2:30p Our ECT Recovery RNs work in a fast-paced PACU setting, recovering patients who received ECT treatments. Our RNs also work closely with our psychiatrists and anesthesiologists to deliver safe care. ECT Nurses are responsible for all safety and patient activities before during and after an ECT treatment. The nurse is expected to follow all safety practices, infection control, ECT and hospital policies and procedures. Overview: Cardiac Critical Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Atlanta Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI), located in the heart of Atlanta, is recruiting for Critical Care Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants. This is an opportunity to be an integral part of one of the nations leading cardiology programs, working alongside highly-respected physicians who value multidisciplinary teamwork and are proven leaders in their respective fields. PHIs critical care extenders provide 24-hour, on-site coverage to some of the highest acuity patients in the nation, treating and managing patients with coronary artery disease, advanced heart failure, structural heart disease, high risk percutaneous coronary interventions, arrhythmia, cardiogenic shock, percutaneous valve interventions, temporary mechanical circulatory support including ECMO, and cardiothoracic surgery including transplant and ventricular-assist device implantation. Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include: Provides direct clinical services for critically ill adult patients within institutional guidelines and utilizing evidence-based clinical practice standards under the supervision of the patients physician. Formulates and implements a treatment plan for acute illness management in collaboration with the designated primary supervising physician and/or attending back-up physician(s). Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests. Performs approved therapeutic or diagnostic procedures based upon patients clinical status. Within the credentialing standards of the Hospital, inserts and manages arterial catheters, central venous catheters, pulmonary artery catheters, temporary pacemakers, and intra-aortic balloon pump catheters. Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation and administration of life supporting drugs according to established protocols. Assists with ECPR and ECMO cannulations.
