Correctly identifies patient prior to exam, introduce self and receive signature for ABN if required. Keep radiology area stocked. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS · Minimum of High School or GED required. · Completion of Medical Assistant or practical nursing training program with documented clinical practicum hours; OR Medical Assistant certification; OR a minimum of one-year experience in medical office setting as a Medical Assistant or like role. · Current Florida Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BMO) License. · Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. · Verified ability to take accurate patient vital signs. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively articulate and explain required information to patients. · Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes. · Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows · Knowledge of basic and specialty specific medical terminology. · Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions while maintaining a professional demeanor and control.
