*Full Time Nights* At Houston Methodist, the Charge Nurse position is a licensed professional Registered Nurse (RN) who, as an experienced clinician, functions at the Competent to Proficient stage of Benner's model of clinical practice. This position creates an environment for the management and delivery of safe patient care. In addition to fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of a clinical nurse, the Charge Nurse position is a role model and coach to department personnel and assists in developing their skills and knowledge. This position provides nursing care to a diverse patient population. Oversees shift by shift resource utilization through the allocation of staff, supplies and contributions to the patient throughput. Responsibilities The Skilled Nursing Facility Director of Nursing (Director) is responsible for managing the operations of the skilled nursing facility. Collaborating with the AVP, the Director is responsible and accountable for initiating and guiding the delivery of safe, patient centered, quality services as provided by the staff. Knowledge of a patient centered care model, HHSC State regulations, Infection Control, OSHA Safety, staffing, maintenance standards and operations budgeting. Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to elevate staff training as well as learn new systems. Flexibility to assist with LTC QIPP Program and component metrics. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent experience, education and training. Responsibilities The Perioperative RN is responsible for managing the care of the pediatric and adult patient requiring a surgical procedure. The Perioperative RN is a professional nurse who is directly or indirectly responsible for delivering total nursing care to the perioperative patient during various phases of the perioperative stay. The Perioperative RN participates in the clinical assessment, planning for care, implantation of appropriate nursing techniques and evaluation of nursing interventions.
