Qualifications Other information: Knowledge Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required. Maintain current BLS certification. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) (New graduates must have acceptance into an accredited school of nursing within 6 months from date of hire, Within 1 year from the date of hire, employee must be enrolled in a BSN program. RNs hired prior to 10/22/2020 are grandfathered in with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or diploma in nursing, with no further need to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BAN or BSN). Chief Nursing Officer must provide approval for any RNs with ADN degree hired after 10/22/2020, based upon unit need. ADN RNs hired after 10/22/2020 must show continued enrolment towards a BSN degree with a signature of contract stipulating a BSN degree must be completed within 3 years of hire, Failure to do so will result in termination. ADN RNS are not eligible for leveling to RN3. Abilities Work requires the ability to walk throughout the Medical Center and to be standing or walking most of the designated shift. Work requires lifting or carrying objects 35-40lbs. and supporting and positioning patients, some of whom may exceed 300 lbs. The ability to check documents for errors, use a keyboard to enter or retrieve data, and closely examine specimens, images or reports is required. Work conditions include performing procedures where carelessness could result in injury or illness and/or contact with potentially infectious materials and/or strong chemical agents. We are hiring a full-time, experienced Dialysis Registered Nurse for a permanent night shift position. This role is a direct hire with our care network, not the facility, and focuses strictly on providing patient treatment. Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday only (No weekends) Hours: Night shift with start times between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM Location: Dedicated to one single facility PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The professional registered nurse Inpatient RN CAP 2 may be an entry level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) for new employees who meet the RN CAP 2 criteria or attained through advancement from CAP 1. This position is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients. This may include delegation of appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff including but not limited to RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians. Initiates and coordinates communication with FKC and Non-FKC dialysis providers and appropriate contracted facility personnel as needed to provide continuity of patient care. Performs the implementation, administration, monitoring, and documentation of patient's response to prescribed intradialytic transfusions, including appropriate notification of adverse reactions to physician and appropriate blood supplier. Administers medications as prescribed and documents medical justification and effectiveness. Initiates and assists with emergency response measures. Serves as a resource, leader, coach, mentor and role model for new and incumbent employees by setting examples of appropriate behavior, work habits and attitudes towards patients, co-workers, Supervisors and the company at the facility and area level. May be asked to provide specialized nursing care instructions to hospital/facility staff as stipulated contractually. May be assigned to assist in an Outpatient facility on an as needed basis. May serve as a Preceptor to new employees. Required to complete CAP requirements to maintain or advance. Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
