In states where licensure is not required (AL, CT, GA, IA, IL, KS, LA, MA, ME, MI, MS, MT, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, WV), applicants must meet one of the following: They are already a licensed/certified aide; or They have completed a state-approved nurse aide training program AND have been continuously employed in that capacity for the previous 24 months Current CPR certification required. State Specific Requirements Arizona Must be Licensed/certified as a Nurses’ Aide California State certification as a home health aide. Colorado Completed state training program AND certified via DORA. Indiana Aides required to be registered on the Indiana Nurse Aide Registry, licensure is not required. Refill patient medications as directed by a physician and obtain Pre-Authorization/Determination for medications. Ensures that physician is in-network and authorized/up-to-date referral is in the patient's chart. Assist the physician in the exam room with any wound care and/or procedures. Follow up on calls/voicemails and document phone log/conversation Educates and informs the patient of any DI, labs, referrals, and procedures physicians might have ordered. Schedules patients for upcoming appointments after the physician sees the patient. Obtains authorization prior to sending any orders when needed.
