The Johns Hopkins Hospital Cardiac Care Unit is a 12-bed intensive care unit specializing in the care of patients with complex and acute cardiac conditions. The unit cares for patients experiencing acute myocardial infarction and related complications such as cardiogenic shock, post-infarction angina, and congestive heart failure. In addition, the team manages critically ill patients with severe cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease, and life-threatening arrhythmias. Qualifications: Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required at time of hire BLS CPR required 2 year recent high acuity ICU experience preferred; proficient in RN 1, 2, and RN 3 competencies. BSN (Required) Salary Range: Minimum 47.96/hour - Maximum 74.34/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. Maximizes work efficiency through the use of computers and other automation technologies to validate plan of treatment orders, communicates patient care provided, and follows assigned visit schedule. The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist will work with the interprofessional healthcare team to deliver high-quality anesthesia within a Care Team Model. Monitors patients’ responses including skin color, pupil dilation, pulse, heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, ventilation, or urine output using invasive and noninvasive techniques. · Responds to emergency situations by providing airway management, administering emergency fluids or drugs, or using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques. · Performs or manages regional anesthetic techniques such as local, spinal, epidural, caudal, nerve blocks and intravenous blocks.
