Anticipate and swiftly hand required or requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon throughout the surgical procedure. Facilitate the safe preparation, transportation, positioning, and draping of patients to maintain comfort and surgical access. Maintain all surgical instruments in an organized manner while rigorously monitoring and tracking instruments to ensure patient safety. Facilitate the overall safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures through proactive teamwork and strict adherence to sterile protocols. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required. One or more of the following required: Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Identifies and communicates significant abnormalities in patients data to case manager and other appropriate home health team members. Administers prescribed medications and treatments as permitted by law. Assesses all medicines a client may be taking to identify possible ineffective drug therapy or adverse reactions, significant side effects, drug allergies, contraindicated medications and reports any problems to the physician. Re-evaluates client’s nursing needs and reports findings to Case Manager. Counsels and instructs the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs. Prepares clinical and progress notes. Submits all documentation in a timely manner in accordance with agency policy. Documentation on patients chart correlates with nursing care plan. Communicates frequently and works closely with other home care team members.
