Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical exams and wound assessments for patients with acute and chronic conditions Evaluate wound-related conditions and comorbidities to support optimal healing outcomes Perform wound debridement and dressing changes in accordance with clinical best practices Develop and implement i ndividualized care plans in collaboration with the Medical Director and care team Accurately document patient encounters, procedures, and communications in the EMR within 24 hours Educate patients and caregivers on wound care, prevention strategies, and chronic condition management Communicate effectively with primary care providers, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams Collaborate with clinical staff and leadership to maintain efficient workflows Participate in clinical meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives Advocate for patients by ensuring access to appropriate care and follow-up services Maintain compliance with clinical, regulatory, and safety standards Stay current with CMS guidelines, documentation requirements, and best practices Maintain licensure and pursue ongoing education in wound care and related specialties Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in applicable state(s) Clinical experience in wound care or a related specialty preferred but will train Strong skills in debridement, and care planning Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a clinical team What We Offer 1-2 days per week (No weekends!) Responsibilities Responsible for general MA functions such as H&P, communication with physicians and staff, as well as cleaning rooms. Handles physician messages. Position Responsibilities/Standards: General Attend department, clinic or company meetings as required. Demonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns. Consistently work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow staff members. Responsible to receive and reply to medical related messages and prescription requests from patients. Record in patient record. Communication with physicians and staff. Responsible for compliance of OSHA regulations-biohazardous disposal. Order medical supplies as needed. Assist with medical records filing when necessary. Disposal of expired medications Facilitate scheduling outpatient testing and pre certification for MRI, CT, Bonescan, Dexascan and other tests as necessary. Assures exam rooms and clinic work areas are clean and tidy at all times for the next scheduled clinic. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a clinical setting; orthopedic or surgical specialty experience is a plus. Proficiency in EMR systems and basic computer applications. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Preferred Skills: Experience with orthopedic-specific EMR systems (e.g., Athenahealth, NextGen, Epic). Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and durable medical equipment (DME).
