Minimum Pay: $29.27 Position Overview Performs accurate and timely varied or specialized bacteriological, serological, hematological, chemical and/or related testing. Performs procedures accurately and completely following established infection control practices and adhering to established standards and practices for quality assurance. Performs all testing accurately within assigned section using computer linked automated electronic equipment and/or manual methodologies. Performs routine procedures requiring subjective analysis and consults with the technical supervisors and pathologists regarding atypical results. Reports clinical data accurately and efficiently so that care givers receive timely patient information. Performs statistical analysis relevant to analytical methodologies in use. Records appropriate workload statistics on a timely basis. Instructs student technicians and staff members as required. Counsels, advises, instructs, and provides technical guidance to staff members and/or students as required. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age appropriate care when performing phlebotomy or other direct patient services. Prepares blood samples and body fluids for analysis taking measures to ensure the appropriateness of sample and identity of the patient. Uses knowledge of quality control methods in determining the acceptability of results. Takes corrective action to identify causes and to correct problems. Performs procedures and minor repairs relevant to the routine operation and maintenance of analytical equipment in their assigned sections. Overview About the Role The Oncology RN Clinical Care Coordinator (OCC) works collaboratively with an oncologist in delivering care to their assigned patient population. This is an outpatient position and requires oncology clinical experience and sound nursing knowledge related to the care of patients undergoing cancer treatment to assist with the education, the coordination of care, and ongoing assessment of the patient's response to treatment. The OCCC assesses patients for symptoms, clinical and psychological needs, treatment-related concerns, and barriers to care. Provides education regarding diagnosis, treatment, medications, side effects, and symptom management. Connects patients and families with appropriate resources as determined by the healthcare team. Functions as the primary clinical point of contact for hematology and oncology patients and follow them throughout the continuum of care. Provides telephone and MyChart triage, escalates concerns to the provider as appropriate, and support physicians and APNs with patient questions, clinical follow-up, coordination of care, and completion of disability and other treatment-related forms. Works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary oncology team to close the loop on outstanding test, referrals, and follow-up needs, and to prevent gaps or delays on care. Acts as a clinical expert and role model for their assigned disease team and participate in committee work, quality initiatives, and patient programs that advance the cancer program and resources available for patients. Responsibilities What You’ll Do Collaborate closely with oncologists to provide comprehensive care for assigned hematology and oncology patients in an outpatient setting. Serve as the primary clinical point of contact, supporting patients throughout the continuum of cancer care. Conduct ongoing assessments of patient symptoms, treatment response, psychosocial needs, and barriers to care. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and symptom management strategies. Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely follow-up, referrals, testing, and treatment interventions. Connect patients and families with appropriate internal and community resources based on individual needs. Provide telephone and MyChart triage, addressing patient concerns and escalating clinical issues to providers as appropriate. Advanced Practice Nurse - Wound Center

Overview About the Role The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) is a skilled health provider who through a written collaborative practice agreement with a physician is credentialed through the Medical Staff Office. As a member of the Medical Staff the APN demonstrates standards of professional practice that includes ethical decision making, job activities related to quality assessment/improvement, self-evaluation, leadership, and research. The APN is self-directed and purposeful in seeking necessary knowledge and skills to develop and maintain competency. The APN in the Surgery Practices utilizes critical judgment in the performance of comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and the prescribing of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments in the direct management of patients diagnosed with a variety of surgical conditions/diseases. The APN practice will promote wellness through conducting research, providing education and works autonomously as well as in interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities What You’ll Do Collects comprehensive patient health data/history including past and present medical, surgical, family, and social history. Diagnostic tests and procedures relevant to the patient’s status are collected, interpreted, and documented at the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Completes the medication reconciliation process by documenting the current list of medications (including over the counter and nutritional supplements) taken by patient at each visit. Performs and documents an appropriate comprehensive physical assessment of patients which will include a review of systems, evaluation of manifestations and toxicities related to medical conditions and anticoagulation management. In collaboration with the physician, critically analyzes the assessment data/diagnostic tests and determines a diagnosis. In addition, develops a comprehensive plan of care that includes interventions of treatments to attain outcomes. Evaluates patient progress in attaining expected treatment outcomes. Monitors for signs and symptoms related to disease progression/recurrence. Appropriately manages medical and anticoagulation management emergencies according to protocol/policy. Prescribes and/or orders medications. Obtains appropriate consents for surgery and procedures. Ensures completion of all needed pre-operative tests, forms, and documents. Documents assessments, prescribing, plan, modifications to plan, and evaluation of care in the EMR. Qualifications What You’ll Bring Required: Completion of an educational program which is designed and conducted to prepare graduates to practice as an NP/APN with a master’s degree in nursing and eligible for certification by a national certifying body. A current Registered/Professional Nurse license and registration in the State of New Jersey is required. Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving are essential. A minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience and current BLS certification are required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform in an expanded nursing role by providing specialty care to General Surgery patients in collaboration with the attending staff.
