Assists in the delivery of cardiac health care and patient care management in the adult population by performing selected clinical and administrative duties. This role would service the hospital-based outpatient cardiac surgery and structural heart clinics. Duties And Responsibilities Assists providers in preparing for office visits. Prepares patients for examination and treatment. Takes patient histories and vital signs and performs medication review. Performs phlebotomy and EKG as needed. Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary supplies. Assists with ordering and maintaining supplies and equipment. Assists with scheduling of tests and treatments and follows through with referrals when indicated. Screen telephone calls for a referral to a nurse or provider.
