JOB LIMITATIONS The hospice aide will not function in any manner viewed as the practice of nursing according to the Nurse Practice Act. Job Description The position is responsible for performing nursing and operational functions of Employee Health. Demonstrate ability to meet the needs and provide services to the culturally diverse employee population of The Christ hospital. Adhere to the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses (ABOHN) code of ethics and to the scope of practice described in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities Participate in annual respirator, TB and flu compliance programs. Provides annual respirator training and reviews medical questionnaires. Obtain blood and urine samples for required screenings. Coordinate 2 step TB screen or Administer T-Spot. Administer flu shot, Coordinate follow-up immunizations and testing. Review returning lab work. Communicate with HR regarding clearance to begin work. Schedule insufficient titer or non-compliant vaccines for new employee. Document lab results and exam in employee file. Maintain strict confidentiality in dealing with employee health information. Establish positive relationship with new employee, encouraging selection of primary care physician, if none indicated. Review services of Employee Health / Disability Management with employee.
