197197 Job Description Administers anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in collaboration with anesthesiologists. Job Responsibility Performs pre and post anesthesia assessments on patients. Assembles supplies and equipment for anesthetic cases and checks same for safety and proper function. Stocks medication carts and anesthesia machines. Assists in expediting operating room schedule by assisting Anesthesiologist in preparing patient for surgery. Sets up IV fluids for each patient in pre-op holding area, and labels each with dates and times. Under direct medical supervision, performs general anesthesia including airway management and all levels of sedation and monitored anesthesia care in an anesthetizing location. Assists in post-anesthesia care, including medicating patients as needed, fluid management, respiratory weaning and endotracheal extubation. Checks and orders supplies and medications when needed. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions. Job Qualification Masters and/or Doctoral degree in related field, required. Graduate from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA), required. Unemcumbered license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State, required. Certified by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) within one (1) year of graduating from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, required. American Heart Association BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, required. The Nurse Manager Responsible for 24/7 operations of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Provide leadership to nursing staff. Responsible for budget, supplies, patient satisfaction and complaints, and PI. QA in connection to Nursing is a primary responsibility. Job Details Responsibilities: Ensure compliance to standards of care and practice Maintain the operational aspects of the unit by participating in budget preparation and monitoring resources Manages nursing personnel including hiring, coaching and counseling, managing annual performance evaluations and competency reviews, and aiding in orientation/mentoring Attend required management meetings and participate on departmental committees Serve as a clinical and technical resource and role model for nursing personnel, physicians, and other departments What you'll bring: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Masters in Nursing or closely related field preferred. Nursing license in NYS; ACLS, BLS. CCRN preferred. NE-BC required within 18 months of hire Clinical expertise in Critical Care Nursing, both adult and adolescent, computer skills in Microsoft suite, and excellent communication skills. Knowledge of regulatory agencies and best practices. Progressive management experience including management of personnel required. Previous ICU clinical experience required. Previous hospital-based management preferred. Salary Range USD $138,555.00 - USD $166,634.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
