An interdisciplinary team seeks to help residents maintain as much independence as possible for the longest amount of time. The team consists of attending physicians, neurologists, psychiatrists and psychologists, RNs and LPNs, social workers, chaplains, and physical, speech, occupational and recreational therapists. JOB SUMMARY Plan, direct, or coordinate the daily patient/resident care activities in the clinical environment. The Nurse Supervisor is accountable for the delivery of nursing and patient/resident care services. Acts as the highest-ranking on-site leader in the absence of other administrative/clinical leader for the service/location. The position reports to the Director of Nursing of the site. The Nurse Supervisor will foster the mission and core values of the GSRN in their daily practice. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS SUPERVISOR SKILLS Oversees site operations; strives to achieve organizational and departmental goals and objectives in the area of responsibility. For PEDIATRICS (PEDS) - PALS certification preferred (must be acquired within first 6 months of employment). Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing preferred (must be acquired within 2-3 years of hire into Supervisor role for rehabilitation hospital).
