Overview Licensed Practical Nurse Overview: The Licensed Practical Nurse will focus on providing high level patient-centered care in a physician office setting by measuring and recording vital signs, placing patients in exam rooms, preparing patients for exams/procedures, assisting the health care provider with exams/procedures, providing patient support during exams, maintaining medical supply inventory, and stocking exam rooms. Overview Upon consultation, the Wound and Ostomy Specialist assesses, plans implements and evaluates wound and ostomy care on inpatients throughout the hospital. Provides direct patient care and education to selected patients. Serves as a resource and educator to the staff nurse and physician. Is an integral member of the treatment team and is responsible for the case management of specific patients an in working autonomously and in collaboration with the physicians. The Wound Care Specialist will serve as a resource and educator to physicians and patients when requested by the MD and as staffing permits in the outpatient clinic areas. #ACDP Qualifications Required Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing Must have BSN within 3 years of hire Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
