What you will do in this role: May perform scrubbing duties for diagnostic/interventional cardiology and radiology procedures. Assesses and reassesses the patient to gather data relevant to the patient’s individual, age specific needs, and disease process. Provides age specific patient care according to the assessment data, departmental policies and procedures and physician orders. Evaluates the patient’s response to interventions. Documents assessment data, patient care, interventions, and evaluations in the medical record. Documents drug procedure and equipment data required for generating patient billing information and for departmental inventory control. Participates in multidisciplinary discharge planning. Ensures a safe environment for the patient. Participates in teaching the patient and family. Quality assurance and Core Measures for Cath Lab. Completes continuing education and in-service training in order to maintain current knowledge or skills to perform job responsibilities. Category I exposure are tasks that involve exposure to blood and body fluids. Therefore, personal protective equipment is required.
