Overview The Home Infusion RN is a member of the YNHH Home Infusion Therapy team. Responsible for the delivery of high-quality infusion therapy and nursing services in the home or alternate settings (i.e.; Ambulatory Infusion Suites).This includes performing patient assessments, managing various vascular access devices, and educating patients and/or caregivers to ensure safe and effective treatment according to physician 's plan of care. Provides education to patient/and/or caregiver on proper handling, storage and administration of infusion medications as well as signs and symptoms of access device complications. Coordinates discharge planning and prepares discharge summaries with patient instructions and thoroughly reports patient care needs, progress and goals when transferring care. Responsibilities We are actively hiring for an Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy. Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care by implementing: P rotecting the patient from injury caused by extraneous objects and chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal sources. D emonstrating safe operation of equipment and machinery and follows procedures for reporting and correcting an unsafe situation. S peak ing up with safety concerns acting as the patients advocate. Handling specimens according to facility policy and procedures. Adher ing to standard precautions including the use of personal protective equipment. Complying with Universal Protocol and facility site validation and time-out policy C ommunicating the patient’s current status to relevant parties throughout the continuum of care. P erforming interventions to ensure the patient is at or returned to normothermia at the conclusion of the immediate postoperative period. P erforming interventions to protect the patient from infection. A ssessing the knowledge level of the patient or designated support person. P roviding education regarding the expected psychosocial response, nutritional management, medication management, pain management, and expected responses to the procedure. I nvolving the patient or designated support person actively in decisions affecting his or her perioperative plan of care and the rehabilitation process. Obtains lab/radiology reports, hospital notes, and referral information as requested. 2.3. Completes forms/requisitions as needed. 2.4. Cross-trained on front desk duties, including but not limited to greeting patients/visitors, answering calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining/scanning patient medical records. 3. Performs environmental responsibilities as assigned. 3.1. Sets up instruments and equipment according to department protocol. 3.2. Applies principles of infection control. 3.3. Cleans exam/procedures rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control following established department policy. 3.4. Cleans the sterilizer (when applicable) according to the scheduled maintenance program and maintains appropriate documentation. 3.5. New graduates from an accredited medical assistant certificate program, with less than one (1) year of experience, will be considered.
