OVERVIEW: Responsible for the overall operation and optimal quality of care for the residents on the assigned unit. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the facility's administration and the Nursing Policies and Procedures. As an LPN you will be responsible for providing residents assistance with ADLs and in the administration of their medications while overseeing staff. Adhering to the instructions of Nurse Management, you will perform your duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, while providing resident care services with kindness and compassion to the residents. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Holds daily shift report with nursing assistants assigned to the unit prior to the start of the shift. Reviews written daily assignments for each resident on assigned unit. Assures assignments are completed before the end of the shift · Makes rounds on assigned residents at least once every two hours · Administers medication and treatments according to the physician's orders. Assumes responsibility for ordering medications · Collaborates with Care Plan Coordinator to develop and maintain nursing care plans and update these plans on a monthly basis or more often if the resident's condition changes · Assists the attending physician with rounds and special procedures as needed · Transcribes, documents and implements physician's orders · Contacts the resident's physician and family to notify them of a change in the resident's condition or accident/incident; also notifies the supervisor covering · Assumes independent responsibility for yearly written evaluations of nursing assistants and documents accurately their strengths, weaknesses and the steps taken to improve their performance. Previous perioperative, Operating Room, Surgical Services, or procedural nursing experience. Previous experience functioning as an RN circulator preferred. Experience with surgical procedures, instrumentation, sterile technique, surgical equipment, medications, specimens, implants, and perioperative documentation preferred. Licenses/Certifications: Current, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or a valid multistate Registered Nurse license with current privilege to practice in the State of Florida. Description Job Summary The Float Pool Medical Assistant requires travel across NCPS offices in main campus, multi-specialty centers throughout Dade and Broward counties. Provides comprehensive support in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of physicians and/or clinicians across multiple care settings. The float pool medical assistant is a highly adaptable position as they support multiple areas in primary care, medical offices, and surgical offices as needed. This role requires additional training through multiple areas and versatile skills to adapt to the unique workflows, procedures, and patient care demands of various sites. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the float pool medical assistant plays a critical role in patient care management by performing diverse administrative functions, ensuring seamless coverage and high-quality care across multiple divisions and locations. Job Specific Duties Answers telephones, routes calls, takes, and relays accurate phone messages. Prepares and administers medications to patients as directed by provider. For primary care Medical Assistants; prepares and administers immunizations to patients as directed by provider. Communicates all significant changes in patient conditions or behavior to clinicians and physicians. Ensures all medical record/patient charts contains necessary documentation for medical appointments. Completes charting, collects, and distributes medical record documents related to patient. Job Summary: The Surgical Technologist is an integral member of the perioperative surgical team responsible for assisting in the preparation and performance of surgical procedures while maintaining a safe, sterile, and efficient operating room environment. Working under the direction of the Registered Nurse and in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia personnel, Surgical Assistants, and other members of the perioperative team, the Surgical Technologist prepares the operating room, surgical instruments, supplies, equipment, and sterile field for operative procedures. The Surgical Technologist functions primarily in the scrub role, anticipates the needs of the surgeon, passes instruments and supplies during procedures, maintains sterile technique, assists with surgical counts, and supports patient safety throughout the perioperative process. Position Qualifications/Requirements: Education/Experience: Successful completion of a formal Surgical Technology program or an equivalent education/training pathway recognized by an accepted national surgical technology certifying organization. Graduate of a Surgical Technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) preferred. Associate degree in Surgical Technology or a related healthcare discipline preferred. Previous Surgical Technologist experience in an acute-care hospital operating room preferred.
