Responsibilities The Pediatric Transport Nurse is a registered, licensed nurse in Washington and Oregon who, working collaboratively with the respiratory therapist, is responsible for the care and quality of care delivered to patients being transported to Randall Children’s Hospital and other designated hospitals. The Pediatric Transport Nurse functions under the supervision of the Transport Medical Director, an attending physician, and approved institutional policies, procedures, and guidelines during inter-facility transport. Overview Appointments to this job are always temporary, lasting no more than 6 months as part of a Medical Assisting training program. This is an on-site position, based in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. Candidates must reside in either Oregon or Washington state to be employed with Legacy Health. The Medical Assistant Extern Clinics is supervised at all times by a Lead Medical Assistant (MA), MA preceptor, or designee. This position is a learning opportunity for students currently enrolled in a Medical Assisting program, designed to develop skills and build clinical competency. LMG utilizes the “married state” preceptor/preceptee model. The Medical Assistant Extern Clinics is responsible for assisting with patient care, maintaining department/clinic efficiency, and other appropriate duties as assigned. This role participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of a physician, while participating in daily clinic operations under the supervisor or manager. Responsibilities Prepares patients and rooms for exams and procedures. Performs basic laboratory testing, point of care testing, phlebotomy and other quality controls under supervision. Administers medications with direct supervision as directed by a physician or nurse practitioner. Assists physician/nurse practitioner with exams and procedures. Performs procedures with supervision until full competency has been documented by Lead, preceptor or designee. Accurately documents medical information in the patient records. Tracks and routes test results to physician(s) or nurse practitioner(s) for review, and file results in medical records per site operation practices. Communicates test results with patients when deemed appropriate by physician or nurse practitioner. Facilitates patient care activities, to include scheduling ancillary tests and reinforcing patient education, with direct supervision as appropriate and directed by physician nurse practitioner per site operation practices. Maintains adequate inventory of medical, office, and pharmaceutical supplies. Demonstrates and maintains professional behavior in accordance with established standards. Exercises timely, concise, and appropriate use of telephone to meet needs of external and internal customers. Performs basic computer tasks in using electronic health record proficiently while conducting daily documentation and communications involved in patient care. Places vascular access devices such as: peripheral intravenous catheters (PIV), Peripheral Inserted Central Catheters (PICC), Midline catheters and Intra-osseous catheters. Accesses and de-accesses implanted ports. Assesses and manages central venous access devices including routine dressing changes, cap changes and intervenes to maintain patency of central venous access devices. Serves as a resource for the health care team in the intravenous access, placement, management, and patient/family education for care and maintenance. Service area is both inpatient and outpatient. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal

$84.13 - $108.17 / hour
Overview Position Overview Legacy Health offers an exciting growth opportunity to join a well-established team of collaborative and energetic Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs). This role provides the opportunity to practice across both Level III and Level IV NICU settings within the Legacy system. NNPs are integral to delivery attendance and the medical management of high-risk neonates and infants, including daily rounding on NNP service patients. In addition to clinical care, the role includes telemedicine resuscitation coverage for Legacy Level I nursery sites and opportunities to contribute to non-clinical initiatives that support the highest standards of care for NICU patients and their families. Level IV NICU – Randall Children’s Hospital The Level IV, 45-bed NICU is located within Randall Children’s Hospital, a freestanding, nine-story pediatric facility. This unit provides comprehensive care supported by a full range of pediatric subspecialties, including cardiac and neurosurgical services, genetics, and ECMO. Care is delivered within a family-integrated model, supported by a dedicated pediatric transport team. Notably, this role does not require transport responsibilities. Level III NICU – Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center The Level III, 22-bed NICU at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center is a growing unit actively expanding its NNP team. Scheduling is flexible and evolving, with 12-, 16-, and 24-hour shift options available to support work-life balance and team coverage. Scheduling & Practice Model This position is based in the Portland/Vancouver area and requires dual licensure in Oregon and Washington. NNPs rotate between both NICU sites, with frequency tailored to individual preferences while ensuring 24/7 coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays. A well-established self-scheduling model and structured holiday tracks contribute to provider satisfaction and balance. Compensation & Benefits As part of Legacy Medical Group, NNPs receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes: Competitive compensation License reimbursement Generous annual continuing education support Full benefits package and more Responsibilities Patient Care Management: The NNP’s work collaboratively with Neonatologists and pediatric subspecialists in the NICU as well as pediatricians and obstetricians in the Labor and Delivery and Family Birthing centers to guide the care of neonates and infants across the care continuum. The NNP’s are able to practice in an autonomous role utilizing technical procedural skills as well as essential decision making in the care of these patients. Nursing Care Support: The NNP team provide ongoing support to the nursing staff whether on the unit or through formal education opportunities. The NNP’s are key leaders in patient care projects that support both nursing care and medical management. Resuscitation: The NNP’s attend deliveries in person at each of the medical centers and via a telehealth support platform at the other level I nursery sites to provide a consistent high level of care for newborns throughout the Legacy system. Discharge Planning: The entire NICU team works to provide an integrated family care experience to enable families to care for their high-risk infants within the NICU setting and beyond. The NICU values input from all members of the team including dedicated neonatal RT’s, consultants from dietary, OT/PT, lactation, as well as the core nursing, medical and leadership staff. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as an NICU Staff Nurse, Level III preferred. Licensure Current applicable state RN license required. National Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) required. Current applicable state license as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NNP-PP) required. Credentialed by Legacy Medical Staff for Category I and II privileges. Completion of ECMO certification course preferred. NRP certification from the American Heart Association.
