Our patients range from 18 years old to 100+. The unit is staffed by a Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, RN’s, LPN’s, PCA’s and Clerical Associates. We work along-side the hospitalist team, community providers as well as many of the hospitals Nurse Practitioners and Physicians assistants. We also have a night shift nurse practitioner and surgical app on most evening shifts. We work well with other hospital departments to provide the best possible care to our patients. Common Diagnoses: COPD, Heart failure, Stroke, Pneumonia, Asthma/Bronchitis, Urinary Tract Infection, Chronic Renal Failure, Dehydration, Diabetes Mellitus, Cellulitis, Decubitus Ulcers, Wound Infections, Hospice Symptom Management and Gastrointestinal Problems Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. What You Will Do Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care. Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes. Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations. Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.
