Responsibilities: The LPN is responsible for administration of all medications and treatments during their shift, according to the established medical and nursing care plan. Works under the direction of the Head/Charge Nurse to provide optimum nursing care to all residents on the unit. Continuously evaluates behavior, symptoms, reactions and progress of residents and discusses findings with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse. Administers and documents all medications according to established policies and procedures, physician's orders, and Department of Health regulations. Performs all treatments according to physician’s specific order and established policies and procedures. Discusses the need to discontinue or change a medication of treatment with the Nurse Manager/ Charge Nurse. Orders prescribed medications, notifies pharmacy of discontinued medications: and ensures accuracy of medications and dosages when received from pharmacy. Description Staff Nurse - CVI - Mount Sinai Hospital - Per Diem The (Per Diem) Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. Responsibilities Patient Care 1. Delivers patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care and through the application of the nursing process based upon theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards. 2. Description The Nursing Attendant is an individual who functions in a support role to the Registered Professional Nurse by providing direct patient care and related activities as assigned. Description The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. Responsibilities Patient Care Delivers patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care and through the application of the nursing process based upon theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards.
