Adult Day Care Program Director Amsterdam Adult Day Care is seeking a Program Director for our Adult Day Care in Manhattan , New York . The Ideal candidate will have a background in ADC and be extremely organized. Must have Managerial Experience DUTIES: Perform/direct all marketing/outreach activities related to diversifying the registrant base in order to increase/maintain program census in accordance with CHC strategic plan. Plan, develop, organize, and implement all activities and services provided by the program. Ensure that established guidelines, regulations, and fiscal restraints are observed. Develop & maintain administrative plans and procedures. Coordinate admission data with RN and Social Worker. Evaluate for eligibility for acceptance into the program. Oversight of all staff, students & volunteers, including hiring, training, managing, evaluating, and terminating. Ensures compliance with licensing regulations. Prepares and conducts information, outreach, education & advocacy programs related to the services offered. Partake in community & professional meetings/seminars, including the ADC Council. Prepare monthly reports including census, summary of daily operations, etc. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in the healthcare field is a plus. Candidates with an Adult Day Care background are preferred. Should have prior management experience. Strong leadership & interpersonal skills. Responsibilities: A Registered Nurse who, under the direction of the nursing leadership is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care for a specific unit during her/his shift. Receives report from previous shift, making sure that he/she has received all pertinent information on each resident. Continuously evaluates behavior, symptoms, reactions and progress of residents and discusses findings with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse. Administers and documents all medications according to established policies and procedures, physician's orders and Department of Health regulations. Performs all treatments according to physician's specific order and established policies and procedures. Discusses the need to discontinue or change a medication of treatment with the Nurse Manager/ Charge Nurse. Orders prescribed medications, notifies pharmacy of discontinued medications: and ensures accuracy of medications and dosages when received from pharmacy. Qualifications: Current NY State Registered Nurse License Education: Associate Degree BSN Preferred 
Overview Carries out patient care responsibilities with emphasis on decision-making related to the steps in the nursing process to include assessment, diagnosis, and identification of expected outcomes, planning, implementation and evaluation. As a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, formulates the initial plan of care with the provider (physician or nurse practitioner) and collaborates with them to implement a comprehensive patient-centered plan of care to achieve expected outcomes; utilizes principles of assignment and delegation consistent with the NY State Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities Provides professional nursing care to patients within unit. Diagnose and treat response to actual or potential health problems by means of nursing techniques and methods such as case finding, health teaching, health counseling and the provision of care supportive to and restorative of health and well-being. Maintain safe levels of care while adhering to a medical regimen. Collaborates with the physician and other health care providers to assure that a goal oriented care plan is consistent with medical regimen and hospital procedures. Performs other related duties as instructed. Qualifications BSN with three (3) years’ experience preferred. Current NYS license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse. BLS Required. Bilingual Preferred: English/Spanish.
