The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Hospital supports the Registered Nurse or healthcare provider in a hospital setting to provide high-quality patient care. Working under close supervision, this role develops and implements hospital-based care plans and prepares equipment for procedures across the organization's hospital systems. Essential Job Function: Supports the care team by collecting patient history and medical information in order to provide complete case documentation in hospital medical records. Assists in developing and implementing care plans as directed by the Registered Nurse or healthcare provider to serve patient needs of those being treated in a hospital. Ensures that the proper techniques and safety precautions are taken in accordance with Cone Health policies around sterile environments. Communicates health care instructions to patients and families in order to deliver information in a clear way for the care plan. Helps to respond to emergencies and safety hazards by utilizing personal protective equipment and hospital precautions to avoid patient harm. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Practical Nursing; Completion of Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required within 4 years of hire. Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing leadership. Qualifications Current North Carolina Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification required. Current North Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing preferred. Current CPR certification required. May perform basic and advanced clinical support tasks or skills based on the specialty and appropriate competencies such as but not limited to removal of sutures and staples, laboratory procedures (throat/nose culture, drug screen), phlebotomy - butterfly, venous heel stick, EKG, spirometry, Holter monitor application, prescription refills using approved protocols, etc., under clinical supervision. Director of Nursing (DON) Cedar Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation – Clemmons, NC Cedar Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team at our skilled nursing facility located in Clemmons, NC. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and fostering a positive and collaborative environment for both residents and staff. Position Summary: The Director of Nursing will manage all aspects of the nursing department, including clinical operations, staffing, care planning, compliance, and quality improvement.
