Facility: Park Avenue Extended Care Position: Temporary Full-Time RN Supervisor (3 PM – 11 PM) Location: Long Beach, New York Shift: Full Time: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM Pay Rate: $55.00 per hour Position Overview: Park Avenue Extended Care is seeking an experienced and dedicated Temporary RN Supervisor to oversee nursing operations on our 3 PM – 11 PM shift. The ideal candidate will provide clinical leadership, ensure the delivery of high-quality resident care, and support the development and performance of our nursing team. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and evaluate nursing personnel, fostering professional growth and excellence in care. Supervise new nursing staff during orientation and support ongoing education and in-service programs. Collaborate with the Unit Manager to coordinate comprehensive care plans for residents and families. Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and management, ensuring effective communication and adherence to policies. Maintain accurate resident and unit records in compliance with regulatory requirements. Prepare reports, statistics, and documentation related to nursing care and departmental performance. Investigate and report all occurrences of suspected or actual resident abuse, neglect, or mistreatment, following proper protocols. Assess residents’ conditions daily, manage new admissions, and ensure physician orders are promptly executed. Counsel staff on performance and attendance issues, maintaining thorough records. Make critical decisions in medical emergencies and ensure appropriate response. Perform additional duties as assigned by Nursing Administration. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Current New York State Registered Nurse license. Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross). Current Infection Control Certificate. NYS Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting Training Certificate. Experience & Skills: Minimum of 1 year of nursing home experience with supervisory or managerial responsibility.
