Job Description Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more. Principal Accountabilities Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports. Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions. Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments. Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions. Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members. Records patient vital signs and medical information. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse. BLS certification. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in nursing. All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date. Master’s degree in nursing or related field. 1+ year of experience in Nursing or relevant area. ACLS certification. Description The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. In addition, must hold or obtain through facility orientation, a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA). Department Preferences The Critical Intervention Team at Bellevue Hospital (CTI) provides intensive post-discharge case management and supportive services to patients discharged from the inpatient psychiatry and CPEP services. The CTI RN will address the physical/medical health needs of program participants in community settings and during their transition after discharge. The CTI RN will have the unique opportunity to engage with participants who have found themselves in precarious situations that have negative impacts on their physical and mental wellbeing, with limited access to traditional health care options. A strong interest and/or experience working with patients to reduce health gaps and disparities caused by environmental, physical, and social determinants of health is highly preferred.
